Mark Singer

Mark Singer is the founder and CEO of Advocates of Virginia. His experience and credentials include:

  • Previously employed for eight years as Director of Public Affairs and Communication for a statewide trade association.

Since creating Advocates of Virginia he has:

  • Served as Executive Director for a number of association clients. Responsibilities included managing daily operations of associations including, but not limited to: staff supervision, financial and budgetary authority, convention and education planning, newsletter production and distribution, membership recruitment and retention, communication and public relations functions, labor and human relations responsibilities, and any other area falling under the general heading of association management;

  • Provided legislative representation for numerous clients during sessions of the Virginia General Assembly, and before state and local agencies and governing bodies;

  • Served as Past President, Richmond Public Relations Association: a regional association consisting of over 200 public relations and public affairs professionals representing the major corporations in the central Virginia area, as well as many of Richmond's important public relations and advertising firms;

  • Served as Past President, Virginia Society of Association Executives, a statewide association of trade association executives who meet regularly to discuss common problems and strive to improve their professional abilities. Recipient of VSAE's most coveted award - The Award of Excellence.
